This tour, which is 3-4 hours long and visits the most important highlights of the city of Buenos Aires, has three key characteristics: small groups of people per tour, one single language per vehicle, and the extensive profile and preparation of our guides. At the first  top, discover the history of the Plaza de Mayo Square, the site of Argentina’s most important historical events – see its surroundings and the most emblematic buildings and learn all about them.

Then enjoy Mayo Avenue and wonder in awe at the oldest residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires: San Telmo. Live and feel the original Tango in the neighborhood of La Boca: walk along Caminito Street and enjoy the dancers and souvenir shops. See the mythical Boca Juniors soccer stadium. Contemplate the modernization of the city whilst traveling along Puerto Madero and its exclusive docks, full of excellent restaurants and large offices. Pass through the Retiro neighborhood and move on to see Palermo and its most exclusive residential area before finally arriving at Recoleta. Once there, discover the final resting place of Eva Peron, “Evita” and wander through ecoleta Cemetery where she is to be found.

Dinner & Tango show at El Querandi This is an intimate & passionate tango show, housed in a cozy wood-panelled19th century building with a colourful history as a meeting point for poets and students in the heart of Buenos Aires’s historic center. After being abandoned in the late 1970s, the bar was restored and reopened in 1992 as El Querandí Tango Hall. The show is directed by Claudio Campos, with musical arrangements by Ado Falasca, and it smoothly charts the history of Argentina’s most authentic artistic expression from its origins to the modern day. The dinner is better than many, and at just over an hour long, the show is the perfect length. The three house singers, six dancers and 4 musicians put on a great show. Essential Info: Opening hours from Monday to Sunday. Dinner at 20.30hs/ show 22.00hs.

Day 4: Iguazu – Argentinian Falls Side
Start the tour early in order to beat the crowds and get the first train to the Devil’s Throat. There are walkways over the islands which take you to a balcony over the falls and the most spectacular view of the entire Devil’s Gorge. Have plenty of time to walk the 800 meters of paths on the upper circuit. These new suspended walkways are detached from the jungle surface so as to protect the fauna by preventing disruption of the natural trails. From this circuit, have a higher sight of the falls, providing a magnificent panoramic view. It takes around 1 hour to cover the upper circuit. The lower circuit contains 600 meters of walkways, also detached from the jungle floor, and has great views from below and around the falls. Once all the circuits have been completed, go back to the visitor center where the vehicles will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel or the airport.

Day 5: Iguazu Falls Brazilian Side – Rio de Janeiro

From the Brazilian side there are gorgeous panoramic views of the lower Iguazu River and the Devil’s Gorge Canyon. The elevator and the stairs lead to the shopping and restaurant area upstairs. There is some degree of difficulty as the path includes many stairs. After the tour, transfer to IGU airport for your onward flight On arrival into Rio de Janeiro you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Copacabana. Rio de Janeiro, was the capital of the Portuguese empire and of the country up until 1960. It is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and Incan remains. Narrow, cobble-stoned streets lined by Inca walls stretch out from the main plaza in every direction. Many of the colonial buildings were built on top of Incan foundations and the stonework is unparalleled in its precision and beauty.

We visit the fascinating Koricancha Temple of the Sun, the 12-Angled Rock, and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an Inca Palace. Yes we are back. Everything went well. The car transports in Brisbane and Phuket were all on time and drivers very courteous. Le Meridien was an excellent resort and we appreciated being out of the maddening crowd (Patong). Although we did go to Patong on several days for cheaper food/meals. Breakfast at Le Meriden was buffet and first class Plenty of security so felt completely at ease at the resort plus the benefits of the pools and exclusive use of beach. Rooms and room service could not be faulted. Singapore Swissotel likewise was excellent. Buffet breakfast first class. Rooms and room service excellent. Plenty to see and do but 3 days not enough time to do Singapore justice.

Although a little tired the experience was 5 star.

Thank you for your professional and efficient handling of numerous, difficult and complicated travel arrangements for me (including unusual routes through Europe, Asia and Middle East) – all went extremely well! However, thank you more so, for your exceptional kindness and care when your assistance was needed urgently and ‘out of hours’. This was much appreciated, especially as I was travelling on my own. Looking forward to the next one! Thank you!

To the Customers and New Travellers,

I have arranged my travel through World Travel Connections for about 10 years now as a frequent traveller.  The firm, run by Nicolas Delacharlerie and…, has always provided me with the best travel options, the best access to deals and promotions and most importantly ready access by email or phone wherever I am in the world.  They certainly have their customer’s interest at heart.  They are a pleasure to sit down and discuss plans in a friendly yet professional capacity. They will continue to have my business because of their professionalism and caring nature.

Christopher

On behalf of Natalie Maree Caruana, Emmah Caruana, Sarah Caruana and I we would like to thank Nicolas and Janet of World Travel Connections. Amazing personal service, unique destinations, no place he wasn’t totally accross and his flexibility and compassion given our personal circumstances was and is amazing. He personally drove us to the airport. We could not recommend any other travel agent. A new friend for life. Thanks again Nicolas.

Natalie & Robert

Nicolas we loved it! You put together a great package. Savanna Private Game Reserve in Sabi Sands was probably the benchmark in the safari lodge space but Chobe & Xugana Island were also very good. Savanna really succeeds in limiting the number of Jeeps at wildlife sightings so it greatly maximises the experience. They are also more prepared to go off road rather than stick to recognised tracks. Great stuff when chasing a pack of wild dogs after Impala & a Waterbuck. We saw all the Big Five by the end of the first full day but not limited to static viewing—- really active sightings sometimes.  Vic Falls are amazing!! As was Table Mountain.  The Blue Train was also well worth doing. All transfers by the two main businesses were exceptionally professional & informative. Small planes,mud/grass runways, dingy pickup etc in the Delta was all very different!

Finishing it off at Trou aux Biches in Mauritius was just what we needed after all of the above.

Highly recommended the whole thing.

Regards,

Nick and Janelle

We want you to know how much we appreciated your great customer service through the planning and during the trip itself. We look forward to the day we can do another trip like this and you’ll be the first one we call!

Kind regards, JP and N

Thank you for taking such fabulous care of my family on our recent overseas trip. You demonstrated considerable ingenuity in sourcing tricky and urgent flight arrangements. You went above and beyond to ensure our family had a positive travel experience and I felt completely supported knowing that you were always just a phone call or email away. We look forward to travelling with you again.

Warm regards, Gaby
